We ❤️ Rucking

Rucking is an effective all over body workout, it’s simply walking or hiking while carrying a weighted backpack. Adapted from military training, rucking is a popular workout for civilians. Start with a small weight in your pack at first and build up the weight as you progress. A sternal waist strap adds additional support and comfort whilst taking the pressure off your back, keeping the backpack from bouncing and sliding. A strap also helps to re-distribute the load from the back and shoulders to the hips.

We ❤️rucking because:

  • It can be a low impact workout or a cardiovascular workout depending on walking speed, incline and weight load

  • It’s a great way to improve core strength

  • It’s an effective way to integrate upper body, lower body and core

  • It’s a good way to lift weights if you have impaired grip

  • It’s a brilliant way to help reduce the risk of falls, especially for seniors

  • It can improve confidence, quality of life and cognitive skills

  • It’s the best way to get outside and enjoy nature
