White Noise Machine

White Noise Machine

A machine that emits a consistent, soothing soundtrack much like a waterfall, rainfall or a soft breeze.

During sleep your brain continues to register sounds, causing shifting between stages of sleep or even waking you up.  A white noise machine reduces the difference between background sounds and a peak sound like a door slamming.

Many people who suffer sleep problems can benefit from using the device, including those with noisy neighbours, loud traffic, snoring spouses and even tinnitus sufferers.

Begin initially with the machine set at a low volume, even if it doesn't cover all other sounds and once the ear becomes accustomed to the new "noise" and learns to tune it out, the volume can be gradually increased.
